Our Doctors

Dr. Coral Armstrong grew up in Monterey County and graduated from the University of California at Davis School of Veterinary Medicine. She came to Los Coches to care for small and large animal patients in 1990, and purchased it in 2004. Her practice interests include treating geriatric pets and horses, cancer care, endocrinology, equine dentistry, equine silicosis, and anything related to Jack Russell Terriers! In her spare time, she enjoys ranch work and ranch horse competitions.

Dr. Kelly Krambs has been at Los Coches since 2004. A graduate of the University of Minnesota School of Veterinary Medicine, she brings special expertise in Emergency and Critical Care. Additionally, she is certified in Veterinary Acupuncture and Spinal Manipulation. When not at our hospital, she is an accomplished rider and trainer of Dressage Horses.

Our Staff

Carrie Askew, RVT, has been handling everything at Los Coches since 1990, becoming managing co-owner in 2004. Before that, she worked at the University of Georgia School of Veterinary Medicine in Athens, Georgia, Hagyard-Davison-McGee Equine Hospital in Lexington, Kentucky, and at small animal hospitals in Salinas. She is a graduate of the Hartnell College Veterinary Technician Program.

Magda Larez, our Office Manager, has been instrumental in our day-to-day operations since 1994. She is always there to greet clients and patients, offer advice, and make visits go smoothly. She lives with her family in Soledad.

Gina Magdaleno joined our hospital in 1998. She worked her way from Kennel Attendant to Head Inpatient/Surgery Nurse and knows all aspects of patient care. Her efficient, calm manner puts our patients at ease.

Erin Askew literally grew up at Los Coches, and has worked here in an official capacity since 2006. She manages our outpatient care and social media.

Amanda Silva worked with us as Kennel Attendant for several years during the 1990's before taking a job in another community. She returned to us in August 2016 as Receptionist. She loves chatting with clients and making them feel welcome. Her little dog, Stevie, stays busy as our official Patient Greeter.

Veterinary Assistants/Kennel Attendants Melina and Brenda work very hard on weekdays and weekends to ensure the comfort and safety of your pets.

As you can see, we at Los Coches are bonded together and to our community in our commitment to serve our patients and their people. We especially value the special relationship we have with our clients who have become like family to us.
